The old tow truck is like the one in the movie Cars, which includes many places based on real Route 66 locations. The tow truck's name is Mater.
There was a bit of a headwind today which kept my speed down. The good news is I was able to ride most of the day on RT 66 vs. I40, a much safer option. I was able to accumulate 83 more miles today, here's the link to todays route map.
We met and enjoyed a visit with Bruce and his colleague, Celeste, at dinner. Bruce is a retired airline pilot, who is flying a small plane to all continental 48 US States as a bucket list item. We may meet up with Bruce later on our journey...
